Bio: Horia Traian Giurgiuman is Associate Professor of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania and consultant for patents, gear technology and software.

The main teaching and research activities are in the fields of gears technology, theory of cutting process and cutting tools, machine tools, technological software, patents and innovation management, history and philosophy of technology.

Professor Giurgiuman has been member of the research, development and innovation departments of several companies such as Unirea Cluj-Napoca, Romania, URCC Cluj-Napoca Romania, Hermann Pfauter Co. Ludwigsburg, Germany, Oerlikon Klingelnberg AG, Zurich, Switzerland. At Oerlikon Klingelnberg AG he has been director of the technology, software and innovation department.

Dr. Giurgiuman has published more than 50 papers in various journals and conference proceedings and has been invited for keynote lectures in workshops in the field of creativity and innovation management.

He has been involved in various international research projects in the gears, machine tools and software technologies and also published six international patents.

Keynote Title: "NOx Prediction Based on Cylinder Pressure Measurement for Engine Emission Monitoring"

Bio: Rakesh Mishra is Professor at the School of Computing and Engineering, Automotive Engineering Research and Energy, Emission and the Environment Research Groups of the University of Huddersfield, UK.

Main teaching and research areas cover energy efficiency, renewable energy, computational fluid dynamics, learning tools in engineering and blended learning environments.

Professor Rakesh Mishra is very active in renewable energy research and is involved with many organizations including Setpoint and EngToxNet to promote green technologies. Dr. Mishra heads the Energy Emissions and the Environment (E3) research group within the Diagnostics research center at the University of Huddersfield.

Dr. Mishra has published more than 120 papers in various journals and conference proceedings of repute and has been invited to give keynote lectures in various conferences and has also chaired a number of conference sessions dealing with green issues.

Professor Mishra has supervised several Ph.D. and M.Sc. (research) students and has successfully executed projects for different external organizations in field of renewable energy (wind turbines design) and energy efficiency.
