Keynote Title: "The role of Additive Manufacturing in Smart Factories"

Bio: Dr. Elbestawi's experience spans a number of research and administrative roles over 30 years, including Vice President Research and International Affairs, Dean of Engineering, Chair of Mechanical Engineering, and founding Director of the McMaster Manufacturing Research Institute. His experience in Industry included research engineer, unit head-structural dynamics, Ontario Hydro Research Division. Currently, he is the Director of McMaster's W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology (SEPT).
Dr. Elbestawi’s fields of expertise are focused on manufacturing including machining systems and additive manufacturing. He has published more than 260 manuscripts in refereed journals and conference proceedings, as well as contributed to four specialized books in manufacturing research. He continues to conduct innovative research activities and has consistently been able to do so due to his ability to attract more than $29.5 Million in funding from Canadian federal and provincial funding organizations during his career. His research contributions to Engineering have been transferred to, funded and used by Canadian and international industries. These contributions include fundamental, applied, theoretical and practical research using analytical, computational and experimental approaches.
In addition to his research programs, Dr. Elbestawi has led initiatives in SEPT to embed Industry 4.0 and Smart Systems into the curriculum of all programs. In large part this curriculum will be made possible through a hands-on Learning Factory that implements modern manufacturing approaches. Dr. Elbestawi has led the development and implementation of such a facility that engenders the learning of Industry 4.0, cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). This Learning Factory is designed for teaching, research, and training of students as well as industry professionals.

Bio: Dr. Eng. Anna Grabowska has over 25 years of experience in distance education. In 1994 she received a master's degree at the University De Montfort in Leicester in the UK. In 2001 she defended her doctoral thesis with the title of a doctor of technical sciences at Gdansk University of Technology. Since 1995 she has been the manager of Autodesk Authorised Training Centre at Gdansk University of Technology (Autodesk Academic Partner). In 1998-2004, she served as head of the Distance Education Centre at Gdansk University of Technology. She is a founding member of the Association of Academic E-learning, an advisor at U3A online. Since 12 years she has been conducting meetings with the computer for seniors. She has been involved in several European projects dedicated to active aging (e.g. Learn with Grandma, Seniors Acting Together, ForAge, MATURE). Since 2014 she has been represented the company PRO-MED sp. o. o. in the project ERASMUS+ SP4CE and ERASMUS+ CoLED. She is responsible for designing, implementing and preservation of a platform for communication and joint activities for students, teachers and companies. The proposed solution supports group interactions, gamification of learning, group communication, evaluation of team tasks and projects, group discussions, identification of users activities.

Bio: Prof. K. Khalili from University of Birjand, Department of Mechanical Eng. is a tenured faculty at University of Birjand. His are of interest is CAD/CAM and Machine Vision Applications in Manufacturing. He obtained a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering and MSc. in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering both from University of Salford, Manchester-UK. He obtained his first degree in Mechanical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Polytechnic Tehran). His main Teaching areas cover Advanced Manufacturing Systems, CAD/CAM, Metal Forming Processes and Analysis.

He has supervised more than 10 PhD and 40 MSc thesis. He has published more than 40 Journal and 75 Conference papers. He has in his record 4 patents and published one book (in Persian). Prof. Khalil chaired two international conferences. He has attended many international conferences around the world and spent a 9 months Sabbatical Leave at University of Nottingham-UK. Prof. Khalili has in his resume different administrative jobs, including Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Chair of International Relation Office, Vice-President for Education or President of University of Birjand (UoB).
He is Emeritus Professor at UoB and currently is a visiting Professor at ETH-Zurich.

Bio: She is an expert in stakeholder theory and stakeholder relationships with the corporation. Administrative practice in Ministry of Education and Science as head of division of Research policy determined the research interests focusing on policy outlying processes and the changing role of Governments in emerging areas of life such as block chain.
For the last 10 years, she conducted research on stakeholder management in organisations of public and private sector, focusing on public participation and stakeholder engagement. She is active researcher and an author of numerous scientific publications in the international scientific journals, member of international scientific societies (International research society of public Management, European academy of management, System dynamics society) and a regular attendant of their conferences. For her scientific competences, she has been frequently invited as a reviewer by international journals (for instance, International journal of information management, Journal of Knowledge Management Research & Practice and others). She is as an expert for international program projects evaluation and participate in different international activities in frame of COST, Erasmus and other initiatives. B. Mikulskiene has extensive experience as a leader and a co-worker of numerous research teams. During the last 10 years, she has taken part in 5 projects as a member and in 3 projects as a leader working on stakeholder relationship, interest group management and corporate governance. The budget of her leading project various from 150 to 600 thousands euro. Her responsibilities in project implementations normally include development of research methodologies, creation of final project designs and integration of empiric data. She also extensively advises companies and public administration institutions on decision making issues, performance management and index based quality systems development.
She authored over 50 scientific papers, 7 books and presented works at more than 30 scientific conferences

Bio: Prof. Abdelazim Negm had been graduated in May 1985 from Zagazig University (ZU), Zagazig, Egypt and was awarded the B.Sc. Degree in "Civil Engineering - Irrigation and Environmental Engineering" with average grade "Very Good with honors, with 84.5%". Negm has been awarded the degree of Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Civil Engineering (Irrigation and Hydraulics) from Ain Shams University, Egypt and the PhD degree in Hydraulics on 1992 from Zagazig University. Currently, he is a professor of Hydraulics and (Water Resources) in Water and Water structures Engineering Department at Faculty of Engineering of Zagazig University.
He worked as a demonstrator in Faculty of Engineering, Zagazig University in 1986 and continued till he occupied the position of vice dean for Academic and Student Affair. He worked for Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) as a professor of Water Resources since Dec. 2012 until Sept. 2016 and chairperson of Environmental Engineering Dept. at E-JUST since March 2013 until March 2016.
He published more than 400 scientific papers in national and international Journals and conferences and about 50 book chapters. He participated in more than 80 conferences and was a keynote speaker in several national and international conference. He has awarded the prizes of best papers three times. His research areas include hydraulic, hydrology and water resources. Currently, he is very interested in sustainability studies, Sustainable development and green environment in addition to water resources management.
Prof. Negm is a member of IAHR and a member of the Egyptian permanent promotion committee for Water Resources (51b) for the promotion of associate and professor positions in Egypt and is the general secretary of the committee too. He is a member of the editorial board of several scientific journals and Int. Conferences, associate editor-in-chief for IWTJ and was a member of the organizing committee of Oceanography 2015, and IWTC2013-IWTC2017. Additionally, he is the secretary general of the IWTC from 2013 until the year 2017. He was the head of the ZU committee for assessment of the scientific publications of ZU faculties until Dec. 2018. Currently, he is organizing several contributed volumes to be published by Springer International Publishing during 2019/2020 after the successful publication of 12 contributed volumes by Springer during the years from 2016-2019, under the handbook of Environmental Chemistry and two books were published under Springer Water series this year. He is the editor of EIJEST (Faculty of Engineering, Zagazig University), associate editor of IWTJ (IWTA) and EMJEI (Springer) and Guest editor of AJGS – Springer. He is a the principal investigator of several international projects.
He is listed in (a) Marquis Who is Who? for more than 10 years until now, (b) IBC's 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century, and (c) ABI directory for his achievement in the field of Hydraulics and Water Resources. He was nominated for many other awards from both IBC and ABI.

Bio: Prof. Ahmed Hussein Ibrahim obtained PhD degree in Construction Industry Management. He has twenty five years of experience in the field of Construction Engineering & Management and fourteen years multi experience, knowledge, research in Construction Industry, Industrial project, Commercial, and Projects planning, scheduling, controls duties and field engineering.
Ibrahim owns updated knowledge about construction technologies and extensive knowledge of Primavera, Microsoft Project, MS Office, MATLAB, UDEC, FLAC, Visual Basic, FORTRAN, Java, and Simulation languages.
As project management consultant, Professor Ahmed Hussein Ibrahim´s work comprises the following: leading the planning, scheduling, progress, and changing management development for the three phases (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) of the project, reviewing and approving of construction plan, reviewing and approving of the workflow diagram, planing and scheduling, developing the risk management plan, monitoring and control of the financial plans, managing the project resources, organizing the work of subcontractors, tracking engineering and construction s-curve progress or monthly progress report preparation.

Keynote Title: "Smart Mantles for Advanced Electromagnetic Cloaking Applications"

Bio: Ladislau Matekovits, received the degree in electronic engineering from Institutul Politehnic din Bucureşti, Bucureşti, Romania, and the Ph.D. degree (Dottorato di Ricerca) in electronic engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy, in 1992 and 1995, respectively. Since 1995, he has been with the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, Politecnico di Torino, first with a post-doctoral fellowship, then as a Research Assistant. He joined the same Department as Assistant Professor in 2002 and was appointed as Senior Assistant Professor in 2005 and as Associate Professor in 2014 respectively. In February 2017 he obtained the Full Professor qualification (Italy). In late 2005, he was Visiting Scientist at the Antennas and Scattering Department, FGAN-FHR (now Fraunhofer Institute), Wachtberg, Germany. Beginning July 1, 2009, for two years he has been a Marie Curie Fellow at Macquarie University, Sydney, NSW, Australia, where in 2013 he also held a Visiting Academic position and in 2014 has been appointed as Honorary Fellow for 4 years.
His main research activities concern numerical analysis of printed antennas and in particular development of new, numerically efficient full-wave techniques to analyze large arrays, optimization techniques and active and passive metamaterials for cloaking applications. Material parameter retrieval of these structures by inverse methods and different optimization techniques have also been considered. In the last years, bio-electromagnetic aspects have also been contemplated, as for example design of implantable antennas or development of nano-antennas for example for drug delivery applications.
He has published more than 340 papers, including more than 70 journal contributions, and delivered seminars on these topics all around the world: Europe, USA (AFRL/MIT-Boston), Australia, China and Russia. Prof. He has three granted patents, and is author of three books, and three book chapters. Prof. Matekovits has been invited to serve as Research Grant Assessor for government funding calls (Romania, Italy, Croatia) and as International Expert in PhD thesis evaluation by several Universities from Australia, India, Pakistan, Spain, etc..
Prof. Matekovits has been a recipient of various awards in international conferences, including the 1998 URSI Young Scientist Award (Thessaloniki, Greece), the Barzilai Award 1998 (young Scientist Award, granted every two years by the Italian National Electromagnetic Group), and the Best AP2000 Oral Paper on Antennas, ESA-EUREL Millennium Conference on Antennas and Propagation (Davos, Switzerland). He is recipient of the 2019 Motohisa Kanda Award “for the most cited paper of the IEEE Transactions on EMC in the past five years”.
He has been Assistant Chairman and Publication Chairman of the European Microwave Week 2002 (Milan, Italy), and General Chair of the 11th International Conference on Body Area Networks (BodyNets) 2016. Since 2010 he is member of the organizing committee of the International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA) and he is member of the technical program committees of several conferences. He serves as Associated Editor of the IEEE ACCESS, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters and IET MAP and reviewer for different journals.

Bio: Alexandru Sover is a Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences where he has been a member since 2015. He is holding the professorship for Plastic processing and Technology.
Alexandru Sover graduated in Mechanical Engineering at North University of Baia Mare, Romania. After several years as research associate in the Institute for Polymer Materials and Plastics Engineering at the TU Clausthal and in the Institute for Manufacturing Technology at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau he obtained a PhD degree in Mechanical and Plastic Engineering at Clausthal University of Technology, Germany.
He was the Head of the Steinbeis Innovation Centre for Applied Material, Production and Process Technology in Zwickau, Germany and after his PhD he spent several years in industry working as the head of R&D department at different plastic manufacturing companies.
His research interests lie in the area of plastic processing and testing technologies, recycling of plastics materials, laser processing and advanced manufacturing technologies.
He has attended many international conferences around the word, has several national and international publications and is a reviewer for different journals. He has coordinated and completed different research projects funded by the German government and the European Union.
Currently he is working in different projects for industry and is advising different companies in the field of plastic processing technologies.

Bio: Prof. Pisla, is a member of the academic staff at the Technical University in Cluj-Napoca, conducting research activity and PhD supervision in the field of Engineering and Management. With a teaching experience of over 25 years he was a approaching a lot of research topics from machine-tools numerical control and robots to railroad and air transportation to robotic application in medical area and in aerospace industry granted at national and international level with lately applications that includes change management, lifecycle management and risk management.
As member of the Design Engineering and Robotics he developed testing laboratories for robotic applications for aerospace simulators, instructor operating systems and dynamic systems simulations. As director of the Siemens PLM Training Center was developed curricula, curs scripts and programs for mechatronic design using SolidEdge and Siemens NX software packages including virtual reality simulation for some medical and aerospace dedicated applications. As former vice-director of the special department dedicated to adults long distance and long lasting educations he develop and is developing new educational programs for training and upgrading engineering, IT and managerial abilities and competences within an international environment. In combining theory and practice is a close collaborator with the German line of studies at Babeş-Bolyai University including PhD supervision for German citizen candidates.
The international cooperation includes many continents form North America and Canada with almost every country in Europe but mostly with those connected with the German area (DACH - Germany, Austria and Switzerland), but also Russia, South Korea, Australia and Japan, with almost 200 papers presented at international conferences or published in scientific journals. He is member of different associations like ASME or GAAM and Technical Committee in the Robotics & Mechatronics of IFToMM - International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanisms and Machine Science, being also founding member of ACADEMIA - Association of Doctoral and Excellence Activities’ Coordinators in Business Management and Engineering, Powder Metallurgy Romanian Society, Robotics Romanian Society and others social foundations.

Bio: Mr. Mihai Aniței has more than 20 years as "C level" positions in corporate companies offering consultance and expertise to several companies as EEC, Danalam, SWAROM - Swareflex - SWAROWSKI Group and being member and founder of different associations, clubs and foundations. He is an entrepreneurial leader, skilled communicator, team builder and adept negotiator, with proven ability to analyse businesses, operations, markets, and growth opportunities, then introduce strategic and tactical solutions that improve competitive performance on business management.
From 2012 he is the general manager of Azomures Târgu Mureș, the most important producer of fertilizers in Romania. In the last years, he managed important investment projects due to which industrial platforms with tradition in Romania are in production, contributing to local and national economic growth. Internationally, Mihai Aniței is the chairman of Agricultural Committee of Fertilizers Europe, the most important association which brings together the fertilizer manufacturers for agriculture in Europe.
Mihai Aniței is a graduate of ”Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iaşi”, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and has MBA degrees in UK and Oxford.

Bio: Dirk Arnold studied mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Berlin, Germany and he has a diploma degree mainly focused on manufacturing.
Currently, he is technical manager at Bosch Blaj Plant, Romania, being responsible for all technical plant functions, manufacturing of products for five Bosch business units 3100 employees, revenue volume 480 Mio. EUR in 2018.
From July 2012 to January 2014 he held the United Automotive Electronics Systems Plant manager position in Wuxi, China. He was involved in the ramp up of GDI production.
From March 2008 to June 2012 he was Director of Manufacturing gasoline direct injection at Robert Bosch GmbH in Nuremberg. His main focus was the ramp up of GDI high pressure pump.
